We've all be getting a bit stir crazy being stuck indoors what with all these bank holidays and the bad weather so as the sun finally made an appearance today we thought we'd head out to the lakes for a walk.
I was on the look out for some stripey leaves but it was mainly laurel and holly that we saw today, I found these at the very end of our walk. I love the way that you can see the stripes in all the leaves even those in the background.

Other than the holly and laurel bushes I wasn't really expecting to see much green today but I did spy this tiny fern growing on a tree stump which did add a splash of colour to the brown surroundings.
And finally I took a picture of Tompom wearing his fab stripey hat, I cropped this so you can just see his eye peeping out at you as for some reason he wanted to hide behind his gloves for this shot.
